Meet the Pit Director!
Polly Krause is no stranger to FCF!
This is Polly’s 16th FCF show as either a member of the Pit or the Pit Orchestra director. One of her favorite things about the FCF shows is the high caliber of instrumentalists in NW Ohio there are to choose from for the great pits every year! Her love of pit orchestras began when she was a freshman at Bryan HS and was asked to play in the pit for Flower Drum Song. She played in the next three BHS shows and has loved it ever since! Polly earned a Bachelor degree from Ohio University, where she was a 4-year member of the Marching 110, and the OU Wind Ensemble. She completed her Music Education certification and obtained a Masters in Education from Bowling Green State University. Polly has been a band director and music teacher in NW Ohio for almost 20 years, and currently is an Office Assistant at Tri State Vision Center in Bryan and Montpelier. She is a 36-year member of the Bryan City Band, and a 11-year member of the Defiance College Community Band. Her ultimate dream is to move to NYC and play in or conduct a pit orchestra on Broadway! Her husband of 30 years is Terry, director of Bryan City Band, and she has 2 step- daughters: Jessica (married to Danny) and Lindsay (married to Jon), plus 3 step-grandchildren, Jonah, Joshua and Macy. She is the daughter of Gaile Moore of Bryan, and the late Dan Moore.
The Little Mermaid will be presented by Fountain City Festival July 28th- July 31st at the Bryan Arts & Education Auditorium on the corner of W. High and S. Beech Street in Bryan, Ohio.
